About TAMIA HUB

Our Story

TAMIA HUB is designed to impart practical skills to Business and Economics studies students so as to prepare them to unlock their entrepreneurship potentials, skills and ability.

In Tanzania the continued high unemployment has given rise to a discussion of the reasons for the persistence of unemployment. One hypothesis is that persistence is due to the high education institutions systems in Tanzania, that the higher education institutions haven't raised much of expectations the graduates lack the skills required by the market and this trend results in mass graduate unemployment, otherwise this would have assisted them to be more self-reliant. As the way forward to reduce the situated challenge department Business Administration and Management we propose to have Tamia Hub as a means now we can reduce mass graduate unemployment in Tanzania and how we can assist graduates to reach their expectations especially our business graduates.

The rationale to have this hub is to provide an extra-curriculum facility to educate and inspire students' entrepreneurial initiatives. The hub will include female entrepreneurship for empowering female students, business networking and a research, business development and innovation, Information Technology. The programs will support UDOM staff, students and other community members.
